Your Voice; Who else could shine in the Pride of Scotland tournament?

Posted in Features on Friday, October 21, 2011 by revstjames.

With the recent suspensions of Jackie Polo and Mark Anthony from Source Wrestling, several concerns have been raised regarding the next step in the Pride tournament as the suspensions mean Mark Anthony may not be able to compete in time.

CJ Hunters win over Black Samurai Junior recently in Cumbernauld marked the last of the stage one matches in the tournament to crown the first ever Source-exclusive Champion. Joining CJ in stage two will be Damian O’Conor, who defeated Nathan Black, Scott Renwick who gained entry over Glen Dunbar and the last spot on the second stage was gained by Mark Anthony when he knocked Anderson out of the tournament.

With CJ Hunter now scheduled to battle Damo O’Conor in the next round, Scott Renwick has been left in a difficult position as his match with Mark Anthony might not be able to take place due to Anthony’s suspension. We’ve been told that the Source GM has been speaking to his team to figure out the best solution for both fans as well as the legitimacy of the tournament.

Right now, we don’t know if Renwick will be allowed to skip the second stage or if another member of the Source roster will be given a chance to shine. Those of us here at Inside SWA like to ask ‘what if’ and have gathered a list of roster members who weren’t included in the tournament so we can ask you… if Source went all X Factor backstage and had to pick someone to replace Anthony, who would you like to see Scott Renwick up against in round two?
