SWA: Target Zero, Saturday November 26th in Motherwell (previews)

Saturday, November 26th, 2011

As the SWA year comes to a close, the events of our chaotic year will come to a head in a huge double header!

SWA owner Peter Murphy has had one hell of a change of heart as of late. At Point of Origin, he challenged his “Originals” to not only carry out their business fairly, but if they lost two matches in a row, they would be fired! This has caused unrest among the “Originals”, but it has given the “New Line” a renewed lease of life in the SWA. However, what exactly is Peter Murphy’s intentions throughout all of this?

The first match Murphy announced would cause massive waves among the Motherwell fans as it would pit Motherwell’s own John “The Bomb” Graham and his tag partner Nathan Black, the tag team known as the Weapons of Mass Destruction, against the Tag Team Champions Adam Shame and Eric Canyon. This match would be for the belts, but only if “The Bomb” can defeat Eric Canyon the very night before in Govan!

SWA: Trial By Fire, November 25th in Govan (Preview)

Thursday, November 24th, 2011

As the SWA year comes to a close, the events of our chaotic year will come to a head in a huge double header starting with a trip to the Pearce Institute in Govan, Friday 25th!

NWA Scottish Heavyweight Championship
Earlier this year at Clan Wars, Falcon turned his back on former tag team partner Black Samurai Jr. to join the “Originals” and made a statement in Uddingston when he destroyed Lewis Girvan. After the match however, Falcon unmasked, throwing down the attire he’s famous for, and then spat all over it. This is the birth of the new Falcon!

His first match without his mask couldn’t be any bigger, it happens to be against current NWA Scottish Heavyweight Champion “The Surprise Package” Andy Anderson. Anderson has been on a roll since he downed Eric Canyon to lift the Heavyweight Title, capping off one hell of a year. The underdog became the youngest ever Champion in SWA’s history, but he has certainly earned his stripes, after training and working in Canada with Lance Storm, two tours of the United States and training at WWE’s Florida training facility. Anderson’s committment to his cause is most certainly second to none.

As Source Wrestling made it’s last stop for the year in Clydebank’s Centre 81, a local stat found himself with a huge challenge on his hands as he entered an eight-man Ultimate Survival match to crown a new challenger for the Pride tournament!

With Mark Anthony unable to continue due to suspension, an Ultimate Survival match was held to crown a new entrant into the tournament. Whoever would become the Ultimate Survivor would battle SWA’s pick, James Scott, in the main event with the winner of the bout getting the empty slot in the tournament!

Battling through Alessandro Mori, Mr Byers, James St James, Jam O’Malley, Jackie Polo, Lewis Girvan and others, Clydebank’s own Christopher Saynt was able to outlast all other men and become the Ultimate Survivor.

Source Results; November 18th, Beith

Sunday, November 20th, 2011

As the stars of Source Wrestling ventured to Beith Community Centre on a cold Friday night, they were given a warm welcome by a packed out venue filled with fans eager to see the wrestling graduates at work!

Fans were up in arms in the main event as they jeered and taunted Damian O’Conor as they sided with Dickie Divers in the main event of the evening. While the usually chipper O’Conor became frustrated, Divers used it to his advantage, lapping up the crowds applause and lading them in anti-Damo chants that got under the Irish mans skin.

The two went back and forth, giving everything in their arsenal as the brutal technician in O’Conor tried to battle the fast feet, high risk mindset of Dickie Divers. The two scrambled for the upper hand from fighting around the venue to both men dishing out the pain delivering their strongest moves but in the end Divers was able to finish O’Conor off with a huge swanton for the win!

Peter ‘Conscience’ Murphy to host session at the Source Wrestling School (Sunday November 20th)

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

Only days after British wrestling legend Robbie Brookside took point at SWS in a specialist training session arranged in association with W3L, Peter ‘Conscience’ Murphy has signed on to take the lead in a match building class at the school on Sunday November 20th to close off the big weekend for Source Wrestling.

Best known in SWA as ‘Conscience’, Murphy was a focal point since the company’s inception as he led the Sinners, became the first NWA Scottish Champion and later the first man to with the British Heavyweight title on Scottish soil. Behind the scenes Murphy worked hard to get SWA off the ground and was the man behind setting up the Gathering events. Outside this company, Murphy also toured across the UK, gathered an impressive amount of championship gold and took his craft to Europe and the US; where he worked under the infamous Jim Cornette for (at the time) WWE development territory OVW.
