On July 25th the After Hours product will find itself in a new home in the heart of Glasgow as the Blood, Sweat and Beers crew present SWA After Hours in the Classic Grand!

Possibly the most talented and frighting individual to enter a ring in Europe today, the genetic monster Johnny Moss, has put forth his demands to SWA that his next match in the NWA British Championship tournament takes place in the harsh environment of After Hours! With Moss obviously confident heading into the match, he’ll find himself drawn against an opponent who’s more than meets the eye!

That man? The highly popular, death defying and hugely talented former NWA Scottish Champion BT Gunn! Gunn has been on a roll lately and after a string of challenges he faces his toughest yet against the former British Champion Johnny Moss.

Laird of the Ring Champion Red Lightning has recently proven to be a worthy, if not arrogant, champion in recent months but when he enters After Hours on the 25th, he’ll have his hands full with a challenge that could likely bring that to an end when he takes on two former Scottish Champions, Wolfgang and the Ministry of Bizarre’s Jack Jester, in a three way dance for the title.

Plus we’ll have the energetic Nikki Storm in action and Kid Fite ready to bring the pain in his open challenge!

Current line up:
+ British Tournament Second Round; Johnny Moss versus BT Gunn
+ Laird of the Ring 3 Way: Red Lightning vs. Wolfgang vs. Jack Jester
+ Kid Fite open challenge.
+ Nikki Storm in action.

Entry to this event is £10 on the door. Alternatively, you can order online at TicketWeb.co.uk.

After Hours is an adults-only environment. Please be aware that this event is for over 18’s only. Full details will be added to our events section closer to the event.

This weekend SWA is back in Uddingston with NWA Scottish Heavyweight Champion Scott Renwick facing another of Eric Canyon’s challengers, Liam Thomson; Damien O’Conor facing Red Lightning in a British tournament match up and more, including the highly anticipated return of the world-class athlete, Fergal Devitt!

The international phenomenon is scheduled to compete in the NWA British Heavyweight Title tournament, bringing his intense style to the Scottish Wrestling Alliance when we return to Uddingston on May 15th. Devitt will be squaring off against former NWA-UK Junior Heavyweight Champion, former NWA Scottish Heavyweight Champion and former SWA Tag Team Champion, SWA’s bird of prey, Falcon! This promises to be a fast paced, hard hitting and high flying affair that will not be seen anywhere else in Scotland or the UK! Devitt is without a doubt one of the best wrestlers in the world. A 10 year veteran, currently making waves for NJPW in Japan, the Irishman will be pushing Falcon to his very limit in his quest to take British gold.

Having failed in his attempt to weaken NWA Scottish Heavyweight Champion, Scott Renwick in Paisley, Co-Owner Eric Canyon hopes to sponsor another wrestler to take the gold. Canyon’s quest to dominate the SWA by claiming all titles to be his own has proved successful thus far with STI holding Tag Team gold and Red Lightning now holding the Laird of the Ring. In Uddingston May 15th Liam Thomson will be Canyon’s choice to take the title from Scott Renwick. Canyon’s “Chosen One” is without a doubt one of the best wrestlers in the UK today and would be one hell of a match for Renwick WITHOUT Canyon in his corner. The odds are certainly against Renwick, does he have what it takes to once again hold onto his title?

Canyon’s newest stooge, current Laird of the Ring champion Red Lightning, won his title thanks to former senior referee Jam O’Malley. O’Malley was paid off by Canyon at Rebirth in March in order to screw former Champion Damian O’Conor. Unhappy with the outcome, SWA Co-Owner Peter Murphy fired O’Malley from his refereeing duties and offered O’Conor an opportunity at vengence by taking on Red Lightning in a rematch! Eric Canyon has made it explicitly clear that the SWA Laird of the Ring will not be on the line and O’Conor will NOT be getting a rematch, however Peter Murphy decided that O’Conor would instead take on Red Lightning in a NWA British Heavyweight Title first round match! Will Canyon’s trickery guarantee Lightning safe passage or will O’Conor extract his revenge?

In a rematch from the Gathering 3, the SWA Prodigy Nikki Storm, will be taking on one of her biggest rivals, one of the most travelled females in wrestling today, England’s loudest: Jetta! Jetta has had quite the gripe since September 09 because Nikki Storm managed to score in her eyes “the upset” victory, and will be on a mission to make Nikki Storm tap out in Uddingston. Nikki Storm is well known for showing massive heart, continually pushing herself to be the best she possibly can be, but when it comes to Jetta, Storm will have to push herself above and beyond her limits to unseat Jetta as the best female in Britain.

Also scheduled to appear in Uddingston:

BT Gunn
Wolfgang
Ministry of the Bizarre’s Jack Jester
“The Professional” Jackie Polo
Adam Shame
and many more!

The card as it stands so far:

NWA Scottish Heavyweight Championship
Scott Renwick (c) vs. Liam Thomson

Nikki Storm vs. Jetta

NWA British Heavyweight Tournament Match 5
Fergal Devitt vs. Falcon

NWA British Heavyweight Tournament Match 6
Damian O’Conor vs. Red Lightning

The event in Paisley Town Hall started with a bang when Adam Shame interrupted Charles Boddington and his latest client, Dave Mastiff, stopping them from signing the national anthem and within moments the hatred for the English contender was obvious in Paisley!

Paisley’s own Adam Shame was swarmed by fans later in the night when he came to the ring ready for the main event with a piper to counter Mastiff’s earlier attempt at raising English pride, and as soon as the match kicked off we got a truly brutal Scotland versus England match as the two men beat each other senseless to move forward in the British title tournament.

Mastiff showed us why he’s one of the most saught after aquisitions in British wrestling today, not only by demonstrating sheer power and strength against the Paisley Wrecking Machine, but for his unmatched agility for a man his size!

But despite Mastiff’s powerful offense, Shame was able to lock in his Shame Over to end the match after several near falls from both men, moving Shame into the second round of the British title tournament.

Eric Canyon caused some chaos when he tried to rig a battle royal for the number one contender spot for the Scottish title, but despite all tat Damien O’Conor was still able to move forward and face his old tag team partner for the title. But Canyon wasn’t done yet as the match between Renwick and O’Conor ended in a no contest when Canyon’s contracter wrestlers interfered.

STI were able to successfuly retain their tag team championship against the rising team of Joe Coffey and Jackie Polo while elsewhere on the card we saw Red Lightning and Sara rack up another win against the Ministry of Bizarre as well as a high flying contest between Falcon and BT Gunn!

Full quick results:

- Damien O’Conor won a battle royal to face NWA Scottish Champion Scott Renwick later in the night.
- Red Lightning and Sarah defeated Jack Jester & Nikki Storm
- Falcon defeated BT Gunn
- STI Defeated Joe Coffey & Jackie Polo to retain the SWA Tag Team Championship
- Andy Anderson defeated the Disco Biscuits and Steven Xavier in a four way match.
- Damien O’Conor versus Scott Renwick ended in a no contest due to interferance.
- Adam Shame defeated Dave Mastiff to advance to round two of the British title tournament.

After Hours promised to be a show to remember as the stars of the Scottish Wrestling Alliance did battle once again in the Sports Cafe with Eric Canyon trying to gain more control over the company when he tried to interfere in Scott Renwicks title defense.

After a hard fought battle throughout, Wolfgang had the Scottish title in his sights when he tied Renwick up in a Sharpshooter and Eric Canyon called for the bell. Thinking it was allover, Adam Shame ran to the ring. Screwed over previously in the night, Shame had fallen victim to Canyon when he cost him a match against Mark Sweeney so the Paisley Wrecking Machine was looking for payback.

Forcing Wolfgang and Canyon to restart the match, Scott Renwick made sure it wasn’t a wasted opportunity and after a few minutes of leveling the playing field, hooked Wolfgang up for the Pedigree to retain his title.

The man known as ‘Mr After Hours’ Kid Fite was not as fortunate as he challenged former NWA-UK Champion Paul Tracey in their first round match in the British title tournament. Tracey was able to use his experience and passion for the title to get himself one step closer to regaining it by defeating Kid Fite in front of the Sports Cafe crowd.

SWA Tag Team Champion Dicky Divers was also in action representing the Canyon Administation. Initially scheduled to face BT Gunn in a tables match, they upped their game by making it a two out of three falls hardcore match in the opening moments.

To Divers misfortune, the innovative Gunn was able to score the winning fall in the last round though with the punishment they put each other through, they both had trouble walking backstage after his win.

Quick Results
- Glen Dunbar defeated Liam Thomson
- Paul Tracey defeated Kid Fite to advance to the next round of the British tournament.
- BT Gunn defeated Dicky Divers in a 2/3 falls hardcore match.
- Mark Sweeney defeated Adam Shame
- Scott Renwick defeated Wolfgang to retain the NWA Scottish Heavyweight Championship
Scott Renwick def Wolfgang despite Eric Canyons best efforts of a “Montreal Screwjob”

In a last minute change to the card, SWA Star Falcon contested Joe Coffey’s entrance into the British Championship tournament. and had his management force SWA and Source to add him to the mix.

Last night at Source Wrestling, Joe Coffey, initially scheduled to fight Phil Powers, found himself against the Bird of Prey in a qualifier match. Falcon was stunned by the sheer raw strength of Coffey and found himself overpowered by the young mans huge physique and dominating offense, but he was able to turn the tables with some foul play and his years of experience and gain a win over the young Source star.

With Coffey distracted by Falcon’s agent, James Tyler, the Bird of Prey was able to blind sight Coffey, turning the Legitimate Athlete’s diving headbutt into an opportunity to hit him with a Falcon Over neck breaker.

Coffey was able to impress the fans and prove to everyone why he was picked for the tournament, but despite his efforts the experience and cunning of Falcon and his team only served to harm the young star.

Now qualifying for the tournament, Falcon – a former NWA:UK Juniorweight and NWA Scottish champion – has advanced to the first round to face former NWA Commonwealth and IWGP Tag Team Champion Fergal Devitt for a change to take one step closer to becoming NWA:UK British Heavyweight Champion alongside Johnny Moss who recently defeated Wolfgang and BT Gunn who advanced after a win over Liam Thomson.

Falcon will face of against Devitt when SWA returns to Uddingston on May 15th.

Next up for the British Championship tournament, we’ll see Paul Tracy battle Kid Fite in the explosive environment of After Hours on March 28th and witness Adam Shame take on Dave Mastiff in Paisley Town Hall April 23rd.

More updates to follow.

When SWA entered Uddingston, we knew Peter Murphy had a prize for his tournament but we were all shocked to find out he was planning a revival for the NWA:UK Heavyweight Championship.

Kicking off the night in style, the tournament kicked off with two phenomenal matches as two of Scotland’s best light heavyweights went into battle when BT Gunn defeated Liam Thomson to advance to round two of the tournament, and the monstrous Johnny Moss took one giant leap towards regaining his former title when he defeated former NWA Scottish Champion Wolfgang.

With sixteen men entered into the tournament, they have the chance to battle for a British title that is recognized worldwide as ‘the’ British title with all the history and prestige of the infamous National Wrestling Alliance, standing among champions like Ric Flair, Harley Race and many more in recent years including AJ Styles, Sting, Christian Cage and more.

With Gunn and Moss moving on to round two of the tournament, those of us at SWA Online are now waiting impatiently to see who else makes it through to the next round to find out which eight men will be battling it out for the pinnacle of British wrestling championship gold. Upcoming matches include…

Phil Powers v Joe Coffey
Source. Cumbernauld March 13th
Having been active in the ring since 1993, Powers has made a name for himself in the UK as one of the best and has been voted to the top of fan favourite lists for several years now. A veteran with a spine shattering finisher, he’ll be taking on the fresh faced young Source sensation in Cumberauld with SWA’s developmental star Joe Coffey gets a huge opportunity to make his name known across the country.

Damien O’Conor v Kid Fite
After Hours. March 28th
After losing his Laird of the Ring Championship due in part to some foul play from Eric Canyon and Jam O’Malley, Peter Murphy added O’Conor to the tournament and gave him an opponent to is tough to beat. Both men have made waves in the singles and tag divisions and both have become invaluable to Scottish wrestling. Not to mention both men are currently involved in developing future talents. They have a lot of similarities and share a strong passion for making it to the top and in the dangerous After Hours environment, it’s going to be a vicious fight to the next stage of the tournament for them.

‘The Paisley Wrecking Machine’ Adam Shame versus ‘The Human Hate Machine’ Dave Mastiff
SWA. Paisley Town Hall, April 23rd
After traveling across the US, Mastiff has come back the his home country stronger, wiser and with an unmatched base of sheer raw brutality. It’s only fitting that he take on Adam Shame, a man who grew up on the rough streets of Paisley and won’t be shamed so easily in his home town.

Worldwide known star and former IWGP and NWA title holder Fergal Devitt will also be involved in the tournament, as will his old ally and training partner Paul Tracey.

Keep checking back at SWA Online for more details as they become avalable, including the latest announcements and results.
