When SWA entered Uddingston, we knew Peter Murphy had a prize for his tournament but we were all shocked to find out he was planning a revival for the NWA:UK Heavyweight Championship.

Kicking off the night in style, the tournament kicked off with two phenomenal matches as two of Scotland’s best light heavyweights went into battle when BT Gunn defeated Liam Thomson to advance to round two of the tournament, and the monstrous Johnny Moss took one giant leap towards regaining his former title when he defeated former NWA Scottish Champion Wolfgang.

With sixteen men entered into the tournament, they have the chance to battle for a British title that is recognized worldwide as ‘the’ British title with all the history and prestige of the infamous National Wrestling Alliance, standing among champions like Ric Flair, Harley Race and many more in recent years including AJ Styles, Sting, Christian Cage and more.
