Six of the Best: Volume 17

It’s been a hell of a year for SWA and throughout we’ve seen tremendous performances form the old guard of SWA, as well as the new breed and have been on the edge of our seats as Eric Canyon tried to take Scott Renwick’s title, SWA Source became one of the most exciting shows in Scotland, the Laird of the Ring and T-Division titles were elevated through outstanding matches form their champions and challengers, and while people ensured their place for The Gathering in 2011, the new breed punched a hole for them to fly through and take the spotlight.

2010; A year in review…

2010 was certainly defined with Scott Renwick struggling against the management in Eric Canyon and his Administration, a battle which has seen Renwick on the defensive for most of his reign, but with the crowds support and his ‘never give up, never surrender’ attitude, Renwick still managed to close the year with the title held high.

Results; Govan, November 12th 2010

As SWA returned to Govan for the years season finale, all hell broke loose with tensions between Canyon and Renwick spilling over into extreme levels! With Nikki Storm and Scott Renwick teaming up against Eric Canyon and Sara, Canyon used the women in the intergender match to ensure that he could weasel out of tagging in the champion, but his tactics backfired as after fourteen months of being on the recieving end of Canyon’s strategic attacks, Renwick had reached boiling point.

Results; Motherwell, November 6th 2010

With Red Lightning hoping to put another title to his CV after his recent Laird of the Ring reign, Scott Renwick found himself on the defensive once again, but with the challenger being yet another pawn thrown at him from Eric Canyon, Renwick felt the strain of the never ending rivalry between himself and management which finally gave him the push he needed to go that extra mile.
