Fantasy League; Round One! The Bomb versus…

Last month we asked you to fill the gap in the last first round match in the Fantasy League and give us your suggestions as to who should go on to battle for the last round in our imaginary tournament for a title that doesn’t really exist! On Facebook, SWA Online, emaila nd twitter we had quite a few recommendations from Tiger Mask v Black Samurai to Eric Canyon v Triple H. But there was one suggestion that intrigued us too much to ignore, so we now give you our last match of the round; John ‘The Bomb’ Graham versus Goldberg!

John ‘The Bomb’ Graham
Still early in his career, the Bomb has found his footing in 2011 with a bigger and better attitude evolving from his previous breakout year. With his aggression matching his strength, Bomb has not only dominated the tag division but has now gone on to destroy opponents left right and centre in under a minute, tearing his way through the roster just like he did before his initial debut alongside partner Nathan Black, and making a huge impression on everyone.
In the East Coast Bomb has been able to grab regional titles alongside Nathan Black after quickly taking over the tag division. but as yet, Bomb hasn’t had any title acclaim in SWA with the tag titles being filmy locked in the battle between the Originals and the NuGeneration. But as SWA closes the year, Bomb will join the fight and have his chance to battle Eric Canyon for the rights to challenge for the SWA tag titles on our 100th show in Motherwell November 26th.
When it comes to style, it’s quite simple. Aggressive, powerful, dominating and dishing out pain to anyone foolish enough to sign up to face him. Bomb is a monster. Simple as, really.

Goldberg
Starting his wrestling career in 1997, the former American Football player stormed through the ranks of WCW by destroying everyone in his path until he had what he wanted. he became famous for his amazing winning streak, with his 108th consecutive win grabbing him the World Heavyweight Championship. With his streak becoming legendary, it took extreme measures to end it when Kevin Nash and Scott Hall conspired against him. Despite that he still holds a worldwide record with 174 straight wins under his belt.
Goldberg is famous for his title wins, mainly due to how far he pushed forward to get them. In his 75th match he gained the United States Championship, and in his 108th, the World Heavyweight title. He later went on to win the WWE World title in a brief run with the company.
Much like Bomb, Goldberg’s core strength comes in his power games. He can throw in kicks and flips, but if you’re on the recieving end of Goldbergs spear or Jackhammer, there’s no way you’re getting back up before the ref counts to three!

Overview
With two strong powerhouses in the ring together, who could come out on top? Both have quickly eliminated opponents and gained reputations for their toughness and pure aggression. But which one would come out on top?

Who do you think will win in the Fantasy League Round 1 match between the Bomb & Goldberg?

Vote away and let us know who you think would win in this fantasy bout! We’ll let you know the winner next month when we kick off the second round of the tournament and see which of the qualified winners will be in imaginary action ;)

Until then, find out how well The Bomb will fare in reality when he tackles Eric Canyon on November 25th at the Pearce Institute in Govan. If he wins, he and his partner Nathan Black get a title shot the very next night in Bomb’s hometown of Motherwell. Click here for all the details!
