Six of the Best: Volume 16

Another Fan Access, another list. The past two months have had me hooked sitting backstage peeking through the curtain with excitement as I’ve watched some o the best in the UK fight it out giving me more than enough men to pick from. But again, I’ve whittled it down to six of the best starting with…

‘The Bird of Prey’ Falcon
The Bird of Prey may have come up short against BT Gunn but he’s still on the list, coming up the rear at number six. The Bird of Prey has been on top of his game lately and not even a loss to fellow tournament companion BT Gunn can take away his steam.

Nikki Storm
The first time a woman has been on the Six of the Best list, and coming in at number 5, Nikki Storm’s entry is well overdue. With her recent struggles starting at Battlezones Femme Fatal Fourway, she found herself on the losing end to Sara thanks to interference from Vyper. When she entered Source in Erskine, she made the challenge to Vyper and took out the man responsible for her downfall. Next up, she took on Camel with Sara at Ringside just to get her frustrations out and then in Uddingston she continued her path of rage by taking down Sara herself in what was one of the bets ladies matches we’ve seen in SWA!

The Disco Biscuits
Ever since entering SWA’s tag ranks the Disco Biscuits have gained a hell of a reaction from the fans at ringside and when they entered Uddingston they were on top of their game proving themselves to be worthy challengers for the SWA Tag Team titles. Unfortunately they didn’t win the titles, despite winning the match and defeating the champions who weasled their way out of handing them over. But regardless, they proved they’re not just a fun dancing duo, they’re derious contenders for the next men to wear the belts.

Lionheart
Making a surprise entry into the British Heavyweight Tournament, Lionheart was able to gan a win over Mike Musso and advance to facing Falcon in the next round of the tournament. Having been a former NWA Scottish Champion, as well as holding several other British title, Hearto is on top of his game and the best may be yet to come.

BT Gunn
Despite not facing his scheduled opponent at After Hours when Johnny Moss was forced to pull out at last minute due to transport problems, Gunn went on to face Jester in the main event of the night and what became a very brutal, very bloody affair which saw Gunn getting rattled around the venue like a rag doll, his spirit was not crushed! Fighting back to his feet with the support of the crowd, Gunn gained the win over Jester and in Uddngston manager to gain another pin fall over Falcon in a non-tournament match. Booty is on a roll, and is definitely one I’d put money on winning the British Title at the Gathering!

NWA Scottish Heavyweight Champion
Scott ‘The Butcher’ Renwick

I’m going to keep this short. But Renwick remains number one for one reason, and one reason only.

This man has shown beyond any doubt that he is the right man to be champion time and time again. He’s given everything he has and more, he’s fought harder than I could ever have imagined and he’s done it all against all odds to remain the man in SWA.

He’s not being knocked off this number one spot any time soon.
