When SWA arrived in Bellshill for the last stop on the Road to the Gathering we saw three final names announced for the show!
Falcon qualified against White Tiger to enter the Money in the Bank TLC match, while Lionheart was chosen as a replacement for Steven Xavier after the prodigy was hospitalised following an attack from Johnny Moss.
The second half of the Best of the Best tournament ended with a huge surprise when former NWA Scottish Champion Eric Canyon was named the man to face Adam Shame in the final at The Gathering!

With less than three weeks to the Gathering II: 'Call to Arms', SWA unfortunately have to announce a change in the line up.
Due to a booking conflict Sam Slam has pulled out of this years show so the submission match will be replaced with a cruiserweight challenge
Representing England... none other than Zak Zodiac and representing team Scotland's own DARKSIDE
Now this was fine but word leaked from Tartan Towers about this new matchup and the undisputed King of the Cruisers 'Bad Boy Liam' Thompson has made it very clear that he wants in on this potential show stealer so if the Bad Boy dosent progress in the best of the best tournament then its a cruiserweight 3way

Time is ticking and we're running out of time before the Gathering returns to Kelvin Hall next month, but already the card is shaping up and we have a huge match taking formation right now; The Best of the Best invitational...
In August we'll see one of the Gatherings main events start to shape up when the first part of the Best of the Best tournament kicks off at Clydebank Town Hall.
After last years huge event when the Gathering debuted we saw SWA Stars foaming at the mouth for the chance to come back the next year and fight in front of the fans for pride, honour and in this match the opportunity to say you are the best and have no one doubt you.
The Gathering II:call to arms 20th September 2008
Scotlands second annual super show will be held in the Kelvin hall international arena. The same venue that hosted the first sell-out Gathering in September 2007
Unlike last years 1700+ sell out show which pitted all the Scottish promotions against each other this year’s spectacle will call on all Scottish wrestlers to band together and fight an old and familiar enemy ...England!
Team captains have been selected to lead their countries to the battlefield in 7 matches
The captain of team England is none other than the patriarch of British wrestlings first family Rowdy Ricky Knight and he can select his team from his home promotion WAW as well as NWA:UK , 1PW , RQW , 3CW , TTP or any other Promotion south of the border
Captaining the Scots is Scottish wrestling legend The Highlander from Hell Drew McDonald. Having competed in every promotion north of the border, Drew is more than qualified and familiar with every Scottish talent out there today.
As the more observant will notice there are seven matches as opposed to the usual 8 match card the reason for this is two fold.
So there is a clear winner on the night no 4-4 draw.
And to allow a special best of the best invitational.
On the August 9th SWA show in Clydebank a 10 man gauntlet match will determine the first competitor. And on the 13th of September at the SWA show in Bellshill, another 10 man gauntlet will take place to determine the second competitor.
These two men will have shown they have the strength, stamina, intelligence and technique and maybe a little luck to survive in the most gruelling of matches and will face off at the Gathering II to be crowned the Best of the Best.
Tickets will be available from 1st April at the usual outlets £20.00 Premier seating (rows 1 and 2) £15.00 floor seating £10.00 general admissions £8.00 kids under 16
