Having stated that he would stand open to challenges from the Source Stars, Scott Renwick found himself defending the NWA Scottish Heavyweight Championship against Mark Sweeney. Having prepared to face Falcon, Sweeney found himself prepared to take on a tough opponent and was ready to take on the champion, but it was not his night as he found himself locked in the Prime Cut and pinned in front of the Fife crowd.
That wasn’t the only big challenge of the night as Ricky Gibson found himself facing the young Andy Anderson looking to make his mark, Damien O’Conor looking for leverage on his way towards regaining championship gold and the massive immovable object Jimmy Kahuna in a four way elimination match to defend his T-Division Championship in the main event.
Ready for any challenger, Gibson was able to hang on into the closing moments of the match and reminding us just how he won the title, he clung onto glory and toppled O’Conor, who was the last man standing, after his rib shattering spear.

With just over a week to go, more matches have been added to the Fife May 29th line-up including a huge tag bout between the rising stars Joe Coffey & Jackie Polo and the popular Disco Biscuits; and in whats set to be a showstealer, Dicky Divers is now scheduled to go up against BT Gunn! We’ll also have top class women’s action when Fife’s own Sara will tackle Glasgow’s Nikki Storm!
NWA Scottish Heavweight Champion Scott Renwick has confirmed his appearance, however neither the Source Committee or Renwick himself have let us in on what Renwick will be up to on the night, but he has given us a clue!
“Last year at the Gathering I did what I never thought I could. I achieved my dream and became Scotlands champion and no matter what words I use, nothing seems to cover how amazing and thrilling it felt. The Source roster wants to live that dream and are always looking for the next big challenge to get them closer. On May 29th in Kennoway, I’ll bring a challenge that can’t be ignored.”

In October last year we saw a surge of new talent rising through the ranks of Source. Among these new talents, we’ve seen new stars rising such as Mark Sweeney who has gone on to main event in front of his home crowd, and veterans of SWA open a new chapter of their careers such as Glen Dunbar who has brought a new attitude to his run.
One young man turned heads instantly when he made his debut against Damien O’Conor, showing the fans of Erskine and Govan in his first matches that he was ready to walk the path to becoming a future star within the company.
Dubbed the Surprise Package, Andy Anderson has been mentioned in several interviews on SWA Fan Access as one to watch for the future, so we had a quick chat while he trained for his upcoming match on May 29th.
